Shashank Shukla

Company: Abbvie
Job title: Senior Scientist
Bio:
Shashank Shukla is a Senior Scientist II within AbbVie’s Molecular Profiling and Drug Delivery group, where he focuses on the development and characterization of cutting-edge drug delivery platforms for small molecules, RNA, and peptides aimed at preclinical assessment. Previously, he was a part of drug delivery initiatives emphasizing formulation and analytical development for lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and nucleic acid therapeutics. His expertise includes optimizing analytical methods such as RP-IP HPLC, DLS, MALS, and CE for LNP characterization. Shashank has overseen formulation-based preclinical studies and facilitated cross-functional collaborations to advance targeted IND-enabling programs. With prior experience in small molecules and peptide formulation, he is well-versed in biophysical characterization, process development, and stability assessment. Shashank earned his Ph.D. and Sc.M. in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University, following undergraduate studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
