Company: Novo Nordisk

Job title: Senior Scientist II

Bio:

As a Senior Scientist leading the Chemistry, Characterization, and Cell Assay team within the Non-Viral Delivery department at Novo Nordisk, I focus on advancing innovative lipid delivery systems. My team specializes in designing & synthesizing novel lipids and developing comprehensive workflows and methods for screening and characterizing lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). We conduct both in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate passive and active targeted LNPs aimed at facilitating gain-of-function and gene editing therapies that align with Novo Nordisk’s therapeutic areas. Our multidisciplinary approach not only enhances the efficacy of these delivery systems but also contributes significantly to the company’s R&D initiatives and overall mission to transform patient care.

Seminars:

Panel Discussion: Decoding LNP Function Through Advanced Imaging to Enhance Therapeutic Design & Endosomal Escape 11:40 am

How to gain robust and reliable biological conclusions from imaging analysis? How to orthogonally apply imaging methods for accurate characterization of lipid arrangement and link to performance? How does the LNP morphology impact its endosomal escape profile?Read more

Optimizing Dual-Cargo Delivery: Advanced Characterization Techniques for Gene Editing with Lipid Nanoparticles 2:05 pm

Lipid nanoparticle-based gene therapies require the delivery of multiple nucleic acid cargoes (e.g., Cas9 mRNA and guide RNA). The identification of the optimal ratio of mRNA to guide RNA will be discussed New advanced characterization strategies to quantify dual-cargo encapsulation via direct injection using SEC-HPLC will be proposed for routine analysis Orthogonal methods for assessing…Read more
