Bio:
Baixue (Dorothy) Xiao, Ph.D., is a LNP-drug-delivery researcher at Genentech. She designs and optimizes LNPs, builds high-throughput in-vitro screens, and validates LNP formulations in vivo. During over nine years research experience on NP drug delivery, Dorothy has engineered various NP platforms for diverse modalities, such as mRNA, siRNA, and small-molecule; mapped how NP physicochemical traits and protein corona drive immune activation and function; led NP-mediated immunomodulation studies for tissue regeneration; and created ligand-decorated NPs for cell-specific delivery. Her work spans pharmaceutical science, biochemical cellular pharmacology, immunology, and translational medicine and is grounded in cross-functional communication, strategic collaboration, and project leadership with chemistry, biology, and data-science teams.
